Things to do over a weekend in Innsbruck

Had an astonishing time in this wonderful city, which reminds be of my hometown.

So here's a couple of things that you could do as a first-time tourist in Innsbruck:

  1. take the Hungerburgbahn up the hill for a nice view of the city and hike down to the Zoo.

  2. explore the green areas in the city and count the mountain peaks you can see from a single spot.

  3. rent a city bike and explore the city center. A single app (check out Nextbike) can be used for bike rentals throughout the entire Europe.

  4. try out the pubs & bars. The city has a nice international vibe which can be felt in full through such places.

  5. enjoy the strong italian influence over the local cuisine

  6. take a walk at night through the cozy streets and search for the unexpected.

  7. experience breakfast with a panoramic view
